Our Mission Statement
To provide a clean, healthy, safe, educational environment, maintain the structural integrity and efficiency of our facilities, along with protecting the investment of our citizens.

Custodial Staff
Our custodial staff maintains approximately 1,175,000 square feet of building space each and every school day. They provide support service to the students, teachers, staff, and community users. The custodial department is continually researching cutting edge products and methods, such as our recently introduced Green Cleaning Program.

Maintenance Staff
Our maintenance staff consists of six maintenance workers. All have expertise in more than one trade. The maintenance department is responsible for repairs and maintenance of doors and hardware, general repairs, glass replacement, renovations, cabinetry work, maintaining our boiler and air conditioning plants, solving electrical, plumbing, and heating problems. They also perform preventive maintenance to ensure maximum life expectancy of our equipment. Using our computerized work order system our maintenance department reviews, prioritizes, and tracks work requests to ensure a seamless operation of our facilities.

The Building & Grounds Department consists of approximately one hundred individuals working together to maintain the efficient operation of every school building as an instructional institution. Our success is contributed to our staff working together toward a common goal. We are a department that is expanding, growing and continually moving on to new and different challenges.
The Building and Grounds Department is responsible for the compliance with all State and Federal regulations pertaining to public schools, and the maintenance of a healthy school environment. This includes all required annual inspections of district buildings and systems, as well as purchasing of maintenance and custodial equipment, supplies and contractual services for the district.

We are an integral part of the educational community. The level of service that this department offers would not be possible without the support we have received from the public, the staff, the administration, and the Board of Education.
