The mission of the Perth Amboy Preschool Program is to provide the parents of every 4 year old Perth Amboy resident a developmentally appropriate, quality preschool program which is designed to meet the child’s individual needs, The Perth Amboy School System, guided by current research, curricula, professional standards and guidelines has designed a developmentally appropriate preschool program to meet the individual needs of the children in our community.
The program has been designed to provide for social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of young children in a safe, caring and learning environment. Each child will learn at his/her own rate and the program is focused on each individual child’s needs, interests, and abilities.
At the Early Childhood Center at St. Mary’s, it is our mission to:
• Develop social competence by providing opportunities for children to make decisions and solve problems.
• Enrich children’s appreciation of aesthetic experiences, including music, art and literature.
• Facilitate the transition of children into elementary school by providing developmentally appropriate early childhood experiences.
