Mrs. Moriarty

Marci Lee Moriarty is the Dance Teacher and Artistic Director of the Dance Department for Perth Amboy High School’s Visual, Performing Arts & Media Academy. She spent many years touring as a professional dancer with Carnival Cruise Lines, and was cast as the role of “Clarice” in Boheme Opera’s production of West Side Story. She has also been featured in such television shows as “Gossip Girl”, “Fringe”, “Law and Order Criminal Intent”, and “Cupid”.  Previously, she has been a company member and toured with University Dance Works under the direction of Randy James.  Mrs. Moriarty holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she performed with choreographers Randy James, Julia Ritter, Christian Von Howard, John Evans, Paulette Sears and the Dance Jam concert at NJPAC. In addition, she has choreographed countless performances for the VPAM academy at Perth Amboy HS, The NJHS Dance Festival and created the annual “Evening of Dance” Concerts. Mrs Moriarty has also choreographed Perth Amboy’s productions of: Aladdin, The Enchanted Journey, Shrek, Hang Ten, Suessical, In the Heights, and The Addams Family. Most recently in 2016, she was nominated for "Best Choreography and Staging" by Paper Mill Playhouse's Rising Star Awards for her work on The Addams Family Musical.
