Office of Curriculum and Instruction

The goal of the Office of Curriculum and Instruction is to provide rigorous, high-quality curricula, instructional materials and support to the Perth Amboy Board Education teachers and students.

Some of the Programmatic Areas of Focus include:

• To provide explicit and extensive curricular guidelines and support for teachers;
• To implement instructional resources and programs that will provide all students with high-quality experiences within and across the grades;
• To offer appropriate meaningful forms of assessment and use assessment data to evaluate student’s learning and overall program effectiveness;
• To provide all staff with an instructional model that will serve as a blueprint for teaching and learning that will include a variety of instructional strategies;
• To provide all staff with relevant and meaningful professional development, coaching, and supports  to ensure the appropriate implementation of  teaching and learning strategies as well as  new programs and district initiatives.
