Ms. Jacqueline Neumann
Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Neumann. I originally come from the five-borough city that never sleeps, New York City, USA! I attended a NYC public High School in Chelsea. Afterwards, I sought the quieter, more picturesque setting of Westchester County, NY, where I attended university and acquired a degree in Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education K-12. During that time, I was fortunate enough to spend some time abroad in Salamanca, Spain.
After completing my studies, I worked as a teacher for the New York City Board of Education.
A few years later, my passion for cultures and international experiences led me back to Europe, where I spent over twenty years. I have travelled to numerous countries in four continents and am fluent in English, Spanish and German.
I have worked in various school settings and with different programs in the USA as well as in Europe. I feel that I bring a wealth of international, social and professional experience to the classroom and the school. In my many years of teaching, I have learned to appreciate and value the challenges, as well as the many joys of working with children.
I am an advocate of, “It takes a village to raise a child”. I feel that the entire community should take an active role in providing a well-rounded education for our students. I greatly appreciate a school environment in which administrators, teachers, parents, support staff and community representatives work together, practicing mutual respect and support, to provide meaningful learning opportunities.
I am a teacher because I want to give back to the learning community what I have been fortunate enough to receive, a quality education that open doors and send students on a journey to become problem solvers and think outside the box.
