Greetings! I am Amanda Bonnell, a dedicated educator passionate about teaching culinary arts, advanced foods, and baking & pastry arts. With five years of enriching teaching experience, I have had the pleasure of guiding aspiring chefs and every day home cooks through the intricacies of the culinary world. I am a proud graduate of the prestigious French Culinary Institute, where I honed my skills and deepened my love for the culinary arts. The class of 2010 laid the foundation for my culinary journey, instilling in me a commitment to excellence and a desire to share my knowledge with others. My teaching career began five years ago, and it has been a rewarding journey ever since. I am dedicated to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where students can explore, experiment, and cultivate their passion for the culinary arts. From foundational cooking techniques to the artistry of advanced foods and the precision of baking & pastry arts, I am committed to equipping my students with the skills they need to thrive in the culinary world. Beyond the classroom, I serve as the proud advisor of the Cooking Club. This extracurricular activity allows students to further express their culinary creativity, collaborate with peers, and participate in exciting culinary adventures. The Cooking Club provides a platform for students to explore diverse cuisines, experiment with innovative techniques, and build a sense of camaraderie within the culinary community. I also serve on the School Climate Team and SCIP Committee. My teaching philosophy revolves around the belief that the culinary arts are a blend of precision, creativity, and continuous learning. I strive to instill in my students not only the technical skills required but also a deep appreciation for the cultural and artistic aspects of the culinary world.
