Ashley Ricks and Christina Caba, Perth Amboy High School Students, participated in the School Development Authority’s Celebration of International Women’s Day. They appear in this photo alongside a drawing of the future Perth Amboy High School, prominently displayed in the design floor of the SDA office, with a display of materials and color schemes planned for our future school. The students enjoyed a tour of the SDA and heard from various women who lead major departments. Women in positions of authority included, lawyers, engineers, architects and project directors. This was followed by a luncheon and a Q&A session where students asked female panelists targeted questions surrounding challenges unique to women seeking success and equality in careers and the workforce. Students received a proclamation from the Governor of New Jersey recognizing the achievements made by women and the need for continued efforts to promote equality and opportunities for all women. Our students were deeply inspired by the event!
