Communications Academy students were one of 45 teams all over the country that participated in the Film Invitational, a film competition run by the All American High School Film Festival. Students received a film prompt in early August and began writing a script, creating a shot list, and planning for the production of the short film. On October 18th, they traveled into NYC to produce and edit their film, which screened at the AMC Theatre in Times Square on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
In addition to this film, 8 other short films produced by Communications Academy students were chosen as "Official Selections" at the 11th annual All American High School Film Festival. These films also screened at the AMC Theatre in Times Square, which is one of the busiest movie theatres in the world.
