The Rose M. Lopez Dual Language Elementary School which serves approximately 841 scholars, sits in the heart of our urban city as an integral member of the community adjacent to the Municipal Courthouse, Perth Amboy Police Department, Perth Amboy Fire Department, Hackensack Meridian Health Center and the local YMCA.
The mission of our Rose M. Lopez Dual Language Elementary School is to foster a learning environment in which the school community is fully vested in developing a dual language program which ensures students are bilingual/bi-literate and enjoy enhanced cognitive skills which advance their academic careers all the while growing their acceptance of multi-cultural societies as they become global citizens.
Courses Curriculum and Instruction
The enriched curriculum at our Rose M. Lopez Dual Language Elementary School is aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. The students learn the core subjects of Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science in two languages (English and Spanish) in a tiered instructional model which ensures students are being taught in various modalities to allow students to learn via various learning styles.
