Mr. Santos has worked in the Perth Amboy School District for 22 years. He is a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy and proud graduate of Perth Amboy High School. He graduated from Rutgers University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Administration. He then went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in School Business Administration from Rutgers Graduate School of Education.
Mr. Santos has worked as a seventh and eighth grade Mathematics Teacher at William C. McGinnis and Samuel E. Shull and a Vice Principal both at Samuel E. Shull and Anthony V. Ceres School. Presently, as the Vice Principal of the Dual Language School, Mr. Santos believes the mission of the educator is to make school a safe, enjoyable and exciting experience every day. He has been working to help teachers to become more reflective educators. Mr. Santos assists students in achieving academic goals while providing support of academic programs.
As an experienced administrator, Mr. Santos has a great understanding of the educational philosophy of the district and shares the goals and objectives of the community for its students. The educational philosophy of Mr. Santos is that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment that welcomes exploration and enhances student confidence. If all students look forward to attending school they will want to learn. Mr. Santos believes that all students at DLS will read on or above grade level in order to be college and career ready.
