Welcome to Ms. Collier's Class!

Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Kimberly Collier

Hello and welcome!

My name is Ms. Kimberly Collier and I am so excited to begin my seventh year as a teacher at the Dr. Herbert N. Richardson School! This is our second year working with our wonderful team: Mrs. Lori Barber, Ms. Elysa Gonzalez, Mrs. Jennifer Mercado, and Mrs. Jacquelyn Ramos-Cardona. Prior to working as a teacher in Perth Amboy, I was a teacher in Edgewater, Fair Haven, and Long Branch.

I graduated with my degree in Elementary K-6 from the University of Maryland. I then returned to New Jersey with hopes of being an elementary teacher. Since then, I have taught Kindergarten and grades 1 through 5. Our classroom this year is grades 3 through 5. It has been a very busy few years, but these experiences have helped shape the teacher I am today! I graduated with my Masters of Special Education from Monmouth University in the Winter of 2017.

I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher, since I was the age of my current students. It is such an honor to work with your child to ensure his/her success this school year. I am happy to work together as a team and community to make this school year the best it can possibly be!
