Principal's Corner

Welcome to the James J. Flynn Elementary School!
As the newly appointed principal of the James J. Flynn School, I am honored and humbled to have an opportunity to share my experiences and join this school community. Having earned a Ph.D. in Teaching as Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbia University, a master's degree in Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University, and a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Penn State University, alongside my certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from Rutgers University, I am deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and enriching educational environment for every student.
I previously served as the former Director of Special Services and Director of Curriculum and Instruction in Perth Amboy and I had the privilege of overseeing departments including Special Education, Early Childhood Education, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Health/P.E. This experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the educational landscape and a steadfast dedication to academic excellence.
At the James J. Flynn School, we are passionately devoted to nurturing the growth and development of each child entrusted to our care. Our dedicated staff are committed to providing a dynamic and innovative learning experience that empowers students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As we embark on this exciting journey together, I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our programs, faculty, and the myriad opportunities awaiting your child, as well as the many opportunities we offer for parent and school collaboration at the James J. Flynn Elementary School. Together, let us cultivate a community where every student can reach their full potential and shine brightly as lifelong learners.
