The library media center encourages a love of reading. Students are exposed to different genres through read "alouds". Comprehension skills are reinforced along with story elements. Students are encouraged to take home both fiction and nonfiction books. Students are guided towards being self-sufficient in finding the books that they want. Information literacy skills are taught through the use of Chromebooks for online research. The goal is to have students view research as an enjoyable challenge, as if they are a detective on a mission to find the answers to information problems.
