Principal's Corner

We are excited to welcome many of you back and to greet others to our Anthony V. Ceres Elementary School community for the first time!

We have made great strides in our academic progress during this past school year, and with your help, we will make our elementary school even better as the 2018-19 school year begins. As we look to the start of the school year, it’s important to note that September is a busy first month of school, so I ask that you be mindful of a few important events:

    • The first day of school is Thursday, September 6, 2018. When you arrive, our staff will greet you with a warm smile, and you will be assisted in bringing your child to his/her teacher’s class line. Please note that classes begin at 8:35am. Should there be inclement weather, an alternate plan will be communicated to you.

    • Our students will bring home a number of papers for parents to review, sign, and/or return to the school. Please read all materials and return them to us the next day.

    • We will have our annual Back to School Night this September. Please join us to learn about our academic program, support services, and school procedures. More information about this evening, including the date and time, will be available in a separate communication.

I am confident that you will find that our school is committed to excellence in all that we do; should you need assistance in the meantime, please visit us in person or call us at 732.376.6020.

We are looking forward to seeing you all on September 6, 2018!

    Yours in Education,

    Derrick C. Kyriacou
