Preschool Instructional Coach
Greetings Families!
My name is Renee Sullivan. I am a District Preschool Instructional Coach and the Coordinator for the Transition to Kindergarten Summer Program. My job is to support teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure each child receives the best possible preschool experience!
I have been teaching early childhood students in Perth Amboy since 2010. I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Rider University. During the 2015-2016 school year, I received the NJ Governor’s Educator of the Year Award for Teaching from Edmund Hmieleski Jr. ECC. Then, in 2022-2023, I received the NJ Governor’s Educator of the Year Award as a Support Professional.
In Perth Amboy, we pride ourselves on providing students aged 3-5 with a developmentally appropriate education. Research shows that children learn best through play, simply because it is joyful and fun! Play is hands-on and keeps children actively engaged during positive learning experiences. Play is essential to growth and discipline. Our goal is to support the development of the whole child by ensuring our students are healthy, safe, engaged, supported and academically challenged throughout all aspects of the day.
