My name is Mary Gonzalez.  I have worked with children for the past 20 years. This is my 16th year working at Edmund Hmieleski, ECC where I have taught Pre-K 4 general education and Pre-K multi-age dual language classrooms.  I was a Preschool Instructional Coach for 4 years. Currently, I'm very excited to be able to provide strategies & support as a Preschool Intervention Referral Specialist! 

I received my bachelor's degree in justice studies and master's degree in early childhood education with an endorsement in special education from Montclair State University.  In the 2018-2019 school year, I had the honor of being Hmieleski's Governor's Educator of the Year! 

I strive to offer guidance and support that is both inclusive & developmentally appropriate where ALL students are accepted, safe & valued!
