Hello, my name is Mrs. Lucia Checo and I am very excited to be your child's preschool teacher! I have been working at Edmund Hmieleski E.C.C. for the past 15 years as a paraprofessional, and this will be my first full school year as a Pre-k teacher. I am part of the amazing dual language program, in which your child will be taught in two languages. I will be your child's spanish teacher. Alongside with my paraprofessional Ms. Maria Sanchez, who has been working for the district for over 20 years. Mr. Connor Grade and Ms. Yaniris Fernandez will be your child's English teacher.

I earned a B.A. in Psychology from Kean University in 2012, and I am currently working on receiving my teacher certification in Early Childhood Education at New Jersey City University. I have always been passionate about teaching, and I am looking forward to an amazing school year!

Hola, soy la Sra. Lucía Checo y estoy muy emocionada de ser la maestra de preescolar de su hijo/a. Llevo 15 años trabajando en la escuela Edmund Hmieleski E.C.C. como paraprofesional, y este será mi primer año como maestra. Formo parte del increíble programa de dualidad lenguística, y seré la maestra de español de su hijo/a. Junto con mi paraprofesional, la Sra. María Sánchez, quien lleva más de 20 años trabajando para el distrito. El Sr. Connor Grade Y la Sra. Yaniris Fernandez serán los maestros de inglés.

Obtuve una licenciatura en psicología en la Universidad de Kean en el 2012 y actualmente estoy estudiando para mi certificación como maestra en Educación Infantil Temprana en New Jersey City University. ¡Siempre me ha apasionado la enseñanza y espero con ansias un año escolar increíble!
