Hello! My name is Christine Leehr.  I have been teaching for 18 years, and am starting my 24th year for the 2025-2026 school year.  This is my 10th year in the Perth Amboy School District.  I am a special education teacher, currently working within the 5th grade inclusion classes. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a dual certification in elementary and special education.  My Master's Degrees are in the areas of Education and Reading Specialist.   

I believe that teaching children should be done by collaborating with teachers, parents, counselors, administration and with every adult that touches the student's lives throughout their day.  Working together, we can assure our students/children become life-long learners, and learn to apply their best efforts throughout their learning careers.
