Children learn through play, singing and learning. As young children explore, ask questions, and create, they improve their thinking skills. Our current study is sports. We will keep you informed on future studies based on the student’s interests. As we investigate these studies, it creates a context for children to see the meaningful applications of the academic knowledge and skills. When children can relate what they learn to the real world, they will understand and retain the new knowledge better. There will be concepts such as math, language/literacy and science, which will be embedded throughout all the studies. Please remember to check your child’s backpack daily to stay up to date on what we are learning in class.
You can help your child by staying actively involved in their education. When your child gets home from school, ask them what they are learning. When they bring artwork home, ask them about it. You can share information about what you know about the topic. Read daily and find fun and creative ways to bring learning into your home. We appreciate and thank you for being a special part of your child’s education.
