    Welcome to First Grade in Room 104!  Working together with Mrs. Summerer we will provide your child with the academic and social tools they need to be successful learners and members of the E. J. Patten School community.  
     
    Each day we begin with a morning meeting to greet one another and review our day.  We will be busy listening to various texts, reading independently, learning phonics skills, applying reading strategies during guided reading and workstations, writing, infusing science and social studies concepts through language arts, and problem solving in math.
