Dear Parents,   

My name is Ms. Aly and I will be your child’s teacher this year.  I am very excited and anxious to have him/her in my class.  I have very high expectations for all my students and believe that every child in my classroom will achieve the skills they need and have the self-confidence and responsibility to excel in school this year and in the future. 

As their teacher I will help your child master many mathematical processes, while continuing to develop their reading and writing skills.  I will try my best for each of my students to grasp the ideas and lessons I teach.  If throughout the year you have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to ask. 

I know your child will be successful this year if we all work together.  I believe that if the student, parent, and teacher work together, anything is possible.  Part of this working together involves my need of a well-organized classroom, where the children are learning while having fun.  To help with this, I have compiled a set of classroom rules and consequences. 

The students and I will discuss the rules and consequences to have an understanding of what needs to be done to have a working classroom environment.  Please review and discuss the rules with your child so you and your child know what is to be expected throughout the year.
