    If we are to participate successfully in the global community of the 21st century, then we must develop our critical minds, learn to collaborate, and be literate in the many languages that connect us.  In order to succeed, we - the people, need to read, read, read and be involved in a social practice of discussing and listening. In listening, we learn to see beyond ourselves and begin to see the beauty and value of others.
