Welcome to Room 122!
My name is Mrs. Navas and I am your child's Spanish teacher. I have been working since 2009 at Hmieleski. I work side-by-side with Ms. Cecelia Santos who is the paraprofessional in our room. It is such a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with preschool-age children. This classroom is where your child's educational journey will begin. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where children can feel confident and safe in a school setting. We do this by providing lessons that incorporate fun activities. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
Your child is in a dual-language classroom. That means your child will learn English and Spanish equally. One week your child will learn English with his English teacher and the following week your child will learn Spanish with us. This pattern will continue throughout the school year. Thank you for being a part of our dual language family!
