Ms. Oliveira

Welcome to Spanish Class! I am Ms. Oliveira, and I am a Spanish teacher at Samuel S. Shull School. I love teaching at Shull School and have been teaching for 20 years. I have a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Spanish and Psychology from Rutgers University. I also have a Master of Arts in Urban Education, specializing in Spanish, from New Jersey City University.

I love teaching Spanish. I am a great advocate of education and believe learning does not have to be boring. My goal is to help my students learn the Spanish language by using activities in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. I am very much looking forward to making our Spanish class time together educational yet fun and engaging.

Before deciding to enter the field of education, I enjoyed working for nine years in Social Services. I have opted to leave this field to pursue a long-felt desire to teach and motivate students in the acquisition of the Spanish language. My passion is my family. Also, I love traveling, taking pictures, music, and sports.

I strongly believe in parent participation and involvement in education. Interaction with parents is vital to the development and an aspect of teaching I immensely enjoy. The most effective way to communicate with me is via email at olgaoliveira@paps.net.
