• Meet the Teacher

    I was born and raised in Perth Amboy. My parents are from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. After graduating Perth Amboy High School in 2008, I began my studies towards becoming an educator at Middlesex County College then transferred to Kean University. I graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education K-6/6-8 with a concentration in English Language Arts. I then received my certification in Bilingual and Bicultural Education. This is currently my 11th year at Shull School. 
     
    I enjoy spending time with my family. I've been married to my husband for 8 years and we have two beautiful children. I love to read. Currently, my favorite book is "Dominicana" by Angie Cruz. I also love "The Hunger Games" trilogy. I love listening to all kinds of music and dancing. I love traveling and visiting new places.

    Nací y crecí en Perth Amboy. Mis padres son de la República Dominicana y Puerto Rico. Después de graduarme de Perth Amboy High School en 2008, comencé mis estudios para convertirme en educadora en Middlesex County College y luego me transferí a la Universidad Kean. Me gradué con una licenciatura en Educación Primaria K-6/6-8 con concentración en Artes del Lenguaje Inglés. Posteriormente, obtuve mi certificación en Educación Bilingüe y Bicultural. Actualmente, estoy en mi undécimo año en Shull School.
    

    Disfruto pasar tiempo con mi familia. He estado casada con mi esposo durante 8 años y tenemos dos hermosos hijos. Me encanta leer. Actualmente, mi libro favorito es Dominicana de Angie Cruz.
