I was born to be a teacher; I figured that out at age eight. I loved school, as a child, and went on to go to college - where I studied Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and English in Rhode Island, and earned my Master’s degree in Literacy at Rutgers. I’ve taught eighth grade and college - and though I enjoyed both; eighth grade is my favorite.
I love reading (sociology, memoirs, poetry, realistic fiction, parenting books), and writing, being with friends and family, cooking and baking, (cookies, apple pie, banana bread), being in nature, enjoying flowers, laughing, taking photos, traveling, and celebrating holidays. I love people - and find joy in the art of teaching English. It makes me happy.
