Mr. Alejandro Castillo
Mr. Castillo is a bilingual music educator dedicated to inspiring students through meaningful and creative music experiences. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with K–12 Teacher Certification from New Jersey City University, where he specialized in French horn performance.
He currently teaches Middle School Band for grades 6–8 at Samuel E. Shull School. Before joining Perth Amboy Public Schools, Mr. Castillo taught general music and choir at Marion P. Thomas Charter School in Newark, where he directed a choir of more than 75 students that performed at the American Young Voices (AYV) Choir.
As an active performer, he plays with the New Jersey Wind Symphony and continues to expand his musical experience. Mr. Castillo believes in fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every student, helping them build a lifelong appreciation for music.
