•                                     A little bit about me...
    Education:
I went to St. Cecilia's Catholic School from K-8 in Iselin, N.J.  Then, I went to John F. Kennedy high school, also in Iselin, N.J. Afterward, I went to Middlesex County College and transferred to Rutgers University, majoring in history.  I decided to go back to school to get my teaching certificate from Kean University.  While at Kean University, I was a full-time paraprofessional at Warren Elementary School in Warren, N.J. and went to school at night.  I completed my student teaching at Mathew Jago Elementary School in Port Reading, N.J.  I began working for Perth Amboy Public Schools in September 2002.  I received an MA in Education with a focus on reading and literacy while teaching full time at James J. Flynn Elementary School in Perth Amboy.  I've taught second grade for nineteen years, first grade for two years, and third grade for two years.
    Family Life:
I grew up in a very Italian home.  Typical Sunday dinners (always at 1:00) with homemade tomato sauce, meatballs, sausage, braciole, and pasta with grown produce from the backyard.  Luckily, my children were able to experience these dinners.  I am married and my husband and I  have two active boys, Scotty and Riley, and a dog (miniature long-haired dachshund) named Rosco.  We always try to vacation on our family mountain getaway in Pennsylvania, where we get to live out in the country for a while, and in the summer to our family beach in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey.  As a family, we are fortunate to experience the best of both worlds.
