• My name is Mayelin Cepeda.  I am a Bilingual Math teacher at Mcginnis Middle School.  This is my 12th year working at McGinnis and helping out our bilingual students.

    My Education: I completed my Bachelors of Arts at Kean University in Elementary Education Bilingual Option and Mathematics.  My certifications are Elementary Education K-5, Middle School Mathematics 5-8, Bilingual Education and High School Mathematics.  I completed the Supervisor Certification credentials and I have a Masters in Mathematics Foundations.

    I currently teach Bilingual 7th grade level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. 

     

    I encourage my students to keep practicing basic math such as the times tables while at home. During class, I encourage them to participate, ask questions and work in groups helping each other. The key in learning and retaining a new math skill is to have fun while learning it.

    Practice is the key to learning Mathematics! So lets practice every day!

    Mi nombre es Mayelin Cepeda. Soy maestra bilingüe de matemáticas en Mcginnis Middle School. Este sera mi 12vo año trabajando como maestra y ayudando a nuestros niños bilingues. Estoy muy feliz de poder ayudar a nuestra comunidad bilingue. 
     
    Mi educacion: Realicé mi Licenciatura en Artes en Kean University en Opción Bilingüe de Educación Elemental y Matemáticas. Mis certificaciones son Elementary Education K-5, Middle School Mathematics 5-8, Bilingual Education y High School Mathematics. También completé las credenciales de certificación de supervisor. Tengo una Maestría en Fundamentos de Matemáticas.

    Actualmente enseño Bilingüe 7 ° grado nivel 1, nivel 2 y nivel 3.
