Mrs. Columbus

I started teaching at McGinnis Middle School in 2022. I started my education at Middlesex County College and graduated from Kean University in 2021, where I received my bachelors in Health and Physical Education for grades P-12th.

I chose to become an educator because of my desire to make a difference in students' lives. I am dedicated to educating students on how to lead a healthy lifestyle and to improve physical fitness through a quality Physical Education program.

Physical Education at William C. McGinnis Middle School is based on the premise that physical activity and participation are important for ALL students, regardless of athletic skill or ability. I want to help students develop skills, knowledge, and positive behaviors to maximize success in multiple sports/activities, with the intent of furthering their enjoyment and lifelong participation. This program will teach the importance of staying active, sportsmanship, teamwork, attitude, respect, and responsibility.
