The William C. McGinnis School Phys. Ed and Health Staff consists of myself, Mr. Rullan, Mr. Cardona, Mr. Tisch, Mrs. Quero, Mrs. Kichula, Mrs. Paltjon and Ms. Z. We are all focused on educating our students on the importance of physical activity and the knowledge of wellness. Each teacher teaches a Health Class that consists of different lessons on the topics of: Personal Wellness, Alcohol Tobacco and Drugs, and Family & Community Health Skills.
During Physical Education, the students are presented with activities that are used for psychomotor learning in a play or movement exploration setting. The Physical Education Curriculum is designed to allow students to experience at least a minimum exposure to the following categories: Aerobics, Individual/Team Sports, Conditioning Activities, Calisthenics, Rhythm and Dance. Students are encouraged to continue to explore those activities outside of the school setting by joining recreational teams and organizations.
