Both Middle Schools will host a summer intervention program for students in grades 5-8. Students will be identified based on their overall academic performance from the 20-21 school year. Based on data, students will be enrolled in a Language Arts/Social Studies and/or Math/Science block that runs for approximately 90 minutes each. The program will last for 4 weeks from July 6 - July 31, 2021. Students will be provided with meaningful instruction and learning activities aligned to the grade-level standards and curriculum. The primary digital platform that will be utilized during the summer virtual learning is Google classroom. Google Classroom will be the hub that students use to check in and then will direct the students to either Online Program Resource Apex 5-8 or District approved on-line resources that cover all four content areas. The ultimate goal is to provide students with the necessary grade-level skills and concepts in order to prepare them for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.
