META Summer Program (Mathematics, Engineering, Technology & Aerospace)

Dates: July 6 - July 29, 2022

Times: 8:30 am - 11:30 am

Location: William C. McGinnis Middle School

Curriculum Focus: Mathematics, Engineering, Technology and Aerospace.

Student Selection Criteria: The targeted group will be Gifted and Talented (G&T), honors students, and children who participated successfully in the Climate Changing Children’s Lives after-school program in the 2021-22 school year.

Calling the future engineers, computer scientists, and inventors in Perth Amboy. and The district will offer a summer enrichment program for students in 5-8 who are currently G&T, honors students and students who participated successfully in the Climate Changing Children’s Lives after-school program in the 2021-2022 school year. The program is intended to support student achievement by providing additional instruction in mathematics, engineering, technology and aerospace.  Students who  have a STEM mindset can play all July with robots, drones, and virtual reality.

The program will take place Monday through Friday from July 6 - July 29, 2022 for 3 hours per day for 18 days, from 8:30 am -11:30 am for middle school students. The program will service approximately 100 students.
