Theater Summer Program

Curriculum Focus: Visual Art, Music, Dance, Theater, Video Production, English Language Arts

Student Selection Criteria: The targeted group will be students with to provide an enriching hands-on summer program.

Our students will experience the benefits of the performance and the behind the scenes aspects of the theater.  The Summer Theatre Camp will provide students in grades 3-8 with the opportunity to work through the four artistic processes of Creating, Performing/Producing, Responding, and Connecting. This summer enrichment program will provide students with the opportunity to collaborate over the course of the 5-week program to produce a culminating musical that will be performed in front of an audience. This program will also target middle school students in the Creative Crew after school program for Visual Art and Video Production. These students will work as set designers, video producers, and back stage crew during the performance. The focus of the program is to continue to develop student's creativity, reading comprehension, and provide opportunities for expression and self-awareness.  We look forward to seeing the families at our culminating show in August.
