     About The William C. McGinnis Band:
     
    The William C. McGinnis School Band provides an outstanding musical experience for more than 100 students in grades five through eight.  We offer weekly lessons on many different instruments.  Some of these instruments include: Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, and Percussion.  The WCM Band also offers four different bands: Beginning Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band and Marching Band.  Students in the WCM Band also participate festivals across the nation.  Some of these festivals have included the Blossom Festival in Niagara Falls, Canada, The Annual Washington D.C. Saint Patrick's Day Parade and the Heritage Festival in Boston, Massachusetts.  
     
    In the school's history, the William C. McGinnis Band has earned recognition for musical excellence.  The WCM Band consistently earns many trophies and plaques for their performances and competitions.  The success of the band program comes from the dedicated effort of our students, parent support and the support of the administration and school district.
