    ELA Curriculum
This year, students will be engaging in a variety of collaborative and independent activities to promote higher order thinking skills. We will utilize Reader's Workshop in hopes of fostering a love of reading. Students will also engage in Writer's Workshop. To develop skills as a writer, students need three things: ownership of their own writing, guidance from an experienced writer, and support from a community of fellow learners. The writing workshop framework meets these needs and streamlines instruction in order to meet the most important objective: giving kids time to write.
