• This is my 19th year teaching in the Perth Amboy school district. My first 15 years I have taught  both 7th and 8th grade Language Arts, as well as honors and non-honors classes. I also spent five years teaching on the digital team. This was a team of teachers that pushed the use of technology in the classroom. They have disbanded the technology team but only because they want ALL teachers to use technology. I have decided to switch over to teaching technology because I feel it is not only helpful to the growth, development, and education of my students, but it is also crucial to their success in the world once they graduate.

In addition to teaching in Perth Amboy, I spent the first 13 years of my teaching career coaching girls' soccer and 9 years coaching wrestling. I gave up coaching 5 years ago when my wife gave birth to our first child (a girl). Since then we have had a second girl. I also spent 2 years teaching writing at Middlesex County College, before switching to teaching Information Technology at Monmouth University. I taught at Monmouth for 3 semesters before taking a leave, again due to the birth of my daughter.

There is one thing you should know about me. There is NOTHING that I take more seriously than the education of my students. Please make every effort to NOT disrupt my class. I understand that everyone has bad days. I do as well. However, I do NOT allow that to effect your education and I expect the same from my students. Let's leave all outside distractions outside the classroom When I am not teaching I spend my time reading, writing for a technology blog, traveling, plying sports, and spending time with my family.
