  • Children with Sunglasses We are delighted to partner with you as your child embarks on the beginning of their educational journey. Our preschool program takes great pride in being among the highest scoring classrooms in the state of New Jersey on the state approved Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale, Third Edition (ECERS 3). In addition, we are also proud of our continuously growing dual language and inclusion programs. The Early Childhood Program here in Perth Amboy consists of almost 100 preschool classrooms across in-district and community provider locations.

    Every Perth Amboy Early Childhood classroom follows developmentally appropriate practices, as determined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and utilizes our state approved curriculum and assessment pieces, Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold, to engage your child in high quality learning experiences daily. 

    Our support staff is committed to best practices in early childhood education. Our support staff consists of preschool instructional coaches who support our teachers and paraprofessionals in implementing the curriculum, preschool intervention referral specialists who support teachers, paraprofessionals, students, and families in behavior improvement and social emotional skill development, dedicated and licensed school nurses to support student health and well-being, and a variety of special education specialists and therapists to support identified needs for students who qualify.
