• Intro to Statistics

Statistics is designed for students to develop a strong conceptual knowledge base and the necessary tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data.  Statistics stresses the connection between classroom concepts and real-life situations so that students can broaden their mathematical understanding of the relevance ofstatistics in our world.

The main concepts to be covered in Statistics are descriptive statistics, probability, and inferential statistics.  These topics include a more detailed study of the process of collecting and analyzing data, single-variable data analysis, bivariate  data analysis, probability, probability distributions, normal probability distributions, sample variability, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and linear correlation and regression.
