"The Panthers' Roar" is the Perth Amboy High School Morning News Show. It is produced by students in Mr. Wilson's Advanced Studio Production class and Broadcast Journalism classes. The show, now in its 6th year, is shown everyday live during homeroom (8:00 a.m. - 8:11 a.m.) The most recent show will be posted on the home page of the high school website everyday. Previous shows will remain on the "Panthers' Roar" youtube channel. Click on the link below to see the shows.
Here's a brief summary of what you will see on the Panthers' Roar:
In this segment students choose one story that they feel is one of the top stories making headlines around the nation and even the world. To produce this segment, students log onto CNN Newsource in the Classroom; a tool that provides schools with news stories and footage from anywhere in the world. Many professional television stations have this tool and we are happy to say that we are one out of only a handful of high schools in the state that utilize this method of reporting the news.
Students report on a significant achievement in the classroom by students, a job well done by teachers and other staff members, or anything else that is worthy of recognition.
Every Thursday we look back in time at childhood photos from students, teachers and administrators of Perth Amboy High School. We also look back into the history of Perth Amboy. Anything that sheds some light into the past.
