• The 23-24 PAHS Varsity Basketball Team has come to an end.  The boys ended the season 8-16 and placed 5th in the White Division.  The season had its ups and downs, but one thing we did was compete against some tough competition throughout the year.  We played some out of conference opponents, such as Plainfield, Franklin, Hunterdon Central, Holmdel, and Manalapan.  The Panthers reached the first round of the GMC tournament by defeating JP Stevens, only to lose in the next round to a tough Colonia team who were recognized as the #2 seed in the tournament.  The Panthers were led by Senior Captain Ariel "Mookie" Perez, who finished the season with 8 ppg and 7 apg. He led the county in assists, totaling 170 in 24 games this season.  Junior big man Angel Rosario led the Panthers in scoring this season, averaging 14.5 ppg and 8 rpg, ending the season with a total of 335 points and 181 rebounds in 23 games.  Junior guard Jadiel Manzueta led the team with 56 3-point field goals made, averaging 10ppg, with a total of 234 points in 24 games.  Junior Power Forward Laivon Balthazar was a monster on the boards. He was 3rd in the county, averaging 11 rebounds this season, ending with a total of 200 rebounds and 104 points in 18 games.  We are looking forward to a great off season, hoping to continue to work on our strength and skills to come back for a great 24-25 season.  Let's go Panthers!
