Course Description:
*Prerequisite: Broadcast Journalism or recommendation from instructor based on portfolio review.
This is a project-based/lab course with the main objective of producing The Panthers’ Roar, the Perth Amboy High School Morning Show. In this class, students have the ability to further develop their skills with broadcast technology, journalism, digital storytelling, media literacy and filmmaking. The course requirements are structured to meet with individual class preferences whenever possible. Students work both individually and as a team to produce a variety of projects. Students will also be responsible for producing short films for the All American High School Film Festival (October 2016) and the New Jersey High School Film Challenge (April 2017).
**Students are required to participate in projects after school and on weekends. The editorial board for The Panthers’ Roar meets once a week outside of class time.
